Luke Newland

Luke graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Exercise Science (1999) and a Masters of Physiotherapy (2002). In 2006, Luke began working solely with children and has focussed his physiotherapy career within paediatrics since then.

Luke has undertaken an extensive amount of continued professional development within paediatrics both nationally and internationally. Thus ensuring his patients receive the most up to date and evidence based physiotherapy techniques.

Luke has also gained an extensive amount of paediatric experience within his professional career. Luke was employed within the Mater Children’s Hospital between 2008 and 2014. Luke held the position of Senior Physiotherapist and Acted as Clinical Unit Manager on many occasions.

Luke has lectured on Paediatrics within the Doctor of Physiotherapy degree at Bond University since 2012. Luke has also assisted with the coordination and teaching of postgraduate paediatric courses held at the Mater Children’s Hospital and the Royal Children’s Hospital (Brisbane).

In 2006, Luke created Physio 4 Kids, to fulfil the goal of providing exceptional paediatric specific physiotherapy services for the children of the Gold Coast and Northern NSW.   In 2015, Luke ceased employment within the hospital setting, expanding Physio 4 Kids services and building the Physio 4 Kids centre at Robina.

Luke is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association and National Paediatric Group.
